And, it’s not a joke. Naming this work is important for clarity, alignment and engagement.

Diversity. Inclusion. Equity. Each term has personal, historical and geographical meaning. And no one term is understood in the same way by everyone, everywhere.

What is important to understand is your business context, your customers and how your employees understand what the organization is seeking to achieve.

People care about what you call it. But understand too, a lot of time can be spent talking about what to call “it” versus “getting to it.”

There are many effective ways to name this work for clarity, alignment and engagement. We can help you.
